How long do film orders take?

5-7 days. It does become variable depending on the season, but 5-7 is the typical timeline. If you need it done by a certain date let us know and we can see what we can do.

Do you develop disposable cameras?

Yes we do! We take any kind of disposable film camera. We even recycle the plastic bodies!

What if my roll is blank?

It’s never fun when film comes out blank, but there is always next time! We will give you store credit towards your next order.

If I have old expired film can you develop it?

Yes! The main thing with expired film is that it will come out darker than a fresh roll. If its a color roll then the colors may be shifted slightly because of the age.

Can you digitize VHS tapes?

Yes we can! We can put them on a USB drive for you. See ‘Bulk Scanning’ on our ‘Film and Scanning’ page!

Will you return my originals?

Yes! We always will give you back your originals, we know how precious those memories are.

Do you scan slides?

Yes we can! We can scan all kinds of mounted slides: cardboard, metal framed and even glass!

Can you digitize big family collections?

Yes, we can digitize whatever your family may have! Prints, albums, film negatives, posters, newspapers, vhs tapes and even film movie reels.

What types of files do you accept?

We accept all kinds of file types! Jpg, tif, heic and even raw camera files (like NEF, CR2, ARW etc.).

What resolution file should I send?

For best results digital files should be 300 dpi at the specific size you want the print to be. The bigger the file the better the print will be!

How big can you print?

We can print up to 40 x 72in (3.3 x 6 ft).

What does Giclée mean?

Giclée is based off a French technical term that means a jet or nozzle and has become an umbrella term to describe archival prints that are typically made using a high quality ink jet printer. These museum quality prints are slated to last 75-100 years.

Can I mail you my film?

Yes! We get mail in orders all the time. Please place your order online.

Can you mail my order to me?

Yes we can! Depending on what type of order you have the shipping will range from $10-$25.

How do you recommend packing my film?

The best way is to use a padded envelope or secure box with plenty of stuffing/padding. As for the mail service; use First Class Mail with tracking, or equivalent service to ensure the best care.

Avoid normal envelopes or other flimsy packaging that could be easily damaged or otherwise tampered with.

We use a transfer service called WeTransfer, this guarantees the highest resolution file. You can also come into the lab with a USB drive.

Please include your order details with your file transfer. Name, phone number, print size, number of copies, border or borderless.

DISCLAIMER

We take every precaution in handling your negatives, slides, rolls of film,
old photos, frames, movies, video tapes, etc. Rarely, sometimes there is a
loss or damage to materials left with us. If such damage or loss occurs,
we only offer replacement with an equivalent amount of film and
processing. Except for such replacement, there are no guarantees of any
kind.
